• Hulihee Palace - About a 10-minute walk from King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel, Hulihee Palace was the summer residence of Hawaiian royalty. Built in 1838 and serving as a museum today, the Palace is operated by the Daughters of Hawaii and houses a collection of Hawaiian artifacts and personal memorabilia of 19th century Hawaiian royalty.

• Mokuaikaua Church - Across the street from Hulihee Palace is the oldest church in the Hawaiian Islands. Mokuaikaua Church was build by western missionaries in the 1820's and is open to the public.
